PUNCHCARD 0.8.1 — signed and notarized AU beta / 2026-09-11

macOS 11+ / Apple Silicon and Intel / Audio Unit v2 instrument.
This ZIP contains PUNCHCARD.component only: no VST3, Windows or Standalone.
Same released 0.8.1 sound engine and UI; no new DRUMIFY sound changes.
This additional test format is now Developer ID signed and Apple notarized.
AU DAW loading and playback remain unverified. See VALIDATION.txt.

INSTALL
1. Save your work and quit the DAW. Back up your projects and any older
   PUNCHCARD.component or Ecosystem Drums.component outside plug-in folders.
2. Extract the ZIP. In Finder choose Go > Go to Folder (Command-Shift-G):
   ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/
If Components is missing, create it under ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/.
3. Copy the ENTIRE PUNCHCARD.component into Components, not VST or VST3.
Do not rename an extension or copy only the executable inside the bundle.
4. Open Live Settings > Plug-Ins and enable Use Audio Units v2.
Rescan; if it remains absent, hold Option while clicking Rescan (not Command).
5. Open PUNCHCARD under Audio Units / Ecosystem Audio on a MIDI track in a
NEW disposable project. Import your own samples, generate a pattern, then
start the DAW transport. MIDI notes are not required to start generation.

The existing VST3 can stay installed alongside this AU. Do not replace VST3
instances in existing projects with AU and assume their state will transfer.
For comparison, use separate disposable projects for each format. An older AU
of Ecosystem Drums can share this AU identity; keep only one such AU installed.
To roll back, quit the DAW, move the new AU outside plug-in folders and restore
your previous AU if any. This package does not modify your VST3 installation.

In Ableton Live, AU does not support direct MIDI output to other tracks.
That limitation is separate from audio playback or MIDI file export.
AU audio playback, editor display, export and DAW project reopening still need
host testing for THIS build. Do not use it as the only copy of important work.

SECURITY
Developer ID signed by hiroki koga and accepted by Apple's notarization service.
The Apple notarization ticket is attached. Notarization is separate from AU
host compatibility; it does not certify playback or editor behavior.
Do not disable Gatekeeper or remove security attributes.
If blocked, send the exact error, macOS version, DAW version and Mac processor
to the provider. Do not send private projects, samples or full system reports.
No personal recordings, reference tracks or sample libraries are included.
